It starts with a barrel.
Brent crude closed at $114.89 a barrel. Spread over its 159 litres, that is ₦959 a litre before anything is done to it.
Refined at home, priced against imports.
Imported, a litre of petrol would land at about ₦1,372. Dangote sells it at ₦1,325 at the gantry.
Then depots and stations take their share.
Lagos depots: ₦1,327. At the pump: ₦1,385. When a cut is announced, old stock slows it down.

Stations sell the stock they already bought at the old price. Depots usually follow within days; stations follow when they restock. The ladder shows the gap while it lasts.

Is the import cost a real price?
It is the import parity published by MEMAN, the Major Energies Marketers Association of Nigeria: the world price of petrol plus freight, financing, port charges and levies, at the day's exchange rate. We show their latest figure and link to it.
Why does Dangote price in dollars?
Since 13 July 2026 the refinery has set its prices in US dollars. The press still reports a naira figure. We show both, and the exchange rate used.
Someone offered me Dangote fuel below the refinery's price. Is it real?
A price below the refinery's own price is a warning sign. Never pay a fee before a signed contract with a licensed company, and confirm bank details by phone on a number you found yourself.
